Why can't I find a report with a specific classification (same as the corresponding document)?

Written by Behaudin Mujkanovic

When a report is created – directly or as part of an order – it automatically inherits all classification attributes from the associated document. After that, the classification attributes on the report can be changed independently of the document.

How does report classification work?

  • When a report is created, all classification attributes are automatically copied from the document.

  • As long as no changes have been made to the report's classification attributes, any changes to the document will also be applied to the report.

  • Once the classification attributes on the report have been actively changed, they become fully independent of the document – subsequent changes to the document will no longer affect the report.

What applies to duplicated orders?

If an order containing reports with already-modified classification attributes is duplicated, those classification attributes remain as they were in the original order. They are not re-inherited from the document.
